Mathieu Barré is an architect and co-founder of TITAN, and a graduate of the Nantes School of Architecture. He brings recognised technical expertise and a distinctly pragmatic approach to architectural design. His rigorous command of construction systems ensures the quality and precision of the studio’s built work.

Among his most notable projects is the transformation of Saint-Nazaire’s former transatlantic railway station, now home to the School of Fine Arts. This major heritage project was shortlisted for the 2023 Équerre d’Argent award.

His professional commitment and architectural vision have been recognised through several distinctions, including the 2018 Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes, awarded by the French Ministry of Culture, and the 2021 Delarue Architecture Medal from the Académie d’Architecture.

Malo joined TITAN after working at SAMOA, the public development agency responsible for the regeneration of the Île de Nantes, one of France’s largest urban projects. There, he developed a committed approach to transforming the city from within, with particular attention to continuity, reuse and existing urban narratives.

This experience now informs his work at TITAN, where he applies these questions at the scale of the building, exploring ways to transform existing structures without denying or erasing them.

Originally from Bourges, he notably contributed to the competition for the transformation of the Maison de la Culture, a landmark project developed as part of Bourges European Capital of Culture 2028. He is also involved in the development of the Musée des Forges in Brittany, a recently awarded project combining heritage rehabilitation and new construction. It offers a tangible way of connecting the memory of a place with contemporary uses.

Malo brings a sensitive perspective to the architect’s role when working with existing buildings: transforming rather than rebuilding, and extending uses by reinventing forms. He sees this approach as a practical way to reduce carbon emissions while revealing the potential of local territories.

Flavie joined TITAN in 2025, bringing extensive experience in the rehabilitation and conversion of heritage buildings. She is closely involved in the transformation of Building B63, located at the heart of Nantes’ new Mellinet district, a significant project for the city and its artistic community.

She coordinates the construction process, ensuring a careful balance between the building’s heritage qualities and contemporary requirements for comfort, functionality and environmental performance.

Flavie ensures that each decision reflects an approach based on restraint and respect for existing materials. Under her direction, the construction site becomes a place where built memory and construction innovation are brought into dialogue, extending TITAN’s environmental ambitions.

Imad graduated from the University of Venice. He joined TITAN in 2021 to structure and support the studio’s administrative and financial development. His arrival marked an important stage in the evolution of the team, which now brings together around fifteen complementary profiles.

He oversees all financial operations, from monitoring construction projects to managing fees, ensuring a stable and rigorous organisation.

As a central point of reference, Imad facilitates communication between partners, clients and the team. He supports the smooth running of the studio’s day-to-day activities and contributes to the overall quality of its projects, strengthening the foundations of TITAN’s collective dynamic.

Gianni is an architect whose approach is firmly grounded in the realities of construction. He joined TITAN to oversee the implementation of projects on site, where architectural intentions meet materials, techniques and craftsmanship.

He is currently supervising the construction of a traditional Italian-style theatre, scheduled for completion at the end of summer 2025. The project requires particular attention to atmosphere, detail and use. His continuous presence on site allows him to faithfully translate the design while adapting to unforeseen circumstances and the practical constraints of construction.

Deeply committed to the act of building, Gianni advocates a pragmatic, rigorous and living architecture.

Marine is the most experienced architect within the team. Her career includes the successful delivery of major real estate projects, particularly within Haussmannian buildings in Paris. She brings specialist expertise that combines a rigorous approach to heritage with contemporary requirements.

Responsible for overseeing the major Bourges project, Marine also works closely with building control consultants and fire safety authorities, ensuring regulatory compliance and the successful delivery of each operation.

Committed to developing the skills of her colleagues, she shares her expertise and supports the studio’s emerging talent. Through this culture of knowledge transmission, she actively contributes to the quality and cohesion of the team, fostering a collective momentum that benefits every project.

François is an architect who graduated from the Nantes School of Architecture, where he also taught before joining the School of Architecture of Brittany in 2024, continuing his commitment to teaching and the transmission of knowledge.

A co-founder of TITAN, he has developed a practice shaped by an in-depth exploration of the relationships between architecture, nature and landscape. Both conceptual and deeply rooted in context, his approach gives rise to sensitive and committed projects.

This approach was notably expressed in the transformation of Georges Clemenceau’s birthplace, reflecting his attention to the historical and heritage dimensions of place.

His work has received several distinctions, including the 2018 Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes, the 2021 Delarue Architecture Medal from the Académie d’Architecture, and a special mention from the European Museum of the Year Awards.

Thibaut joined TITAN for the launch of the Maison de la Culture project in Bourges, a major construction project with a multi-million-euro budget. Developed over several years, this landmark project embodies the architectural, technical and human ambitions shared by TITAN’s partners.

Within this framework, Thibaut plays a central role in monitoring and coordinating the project, ensuring continuity between the original design and its implementation on site. His work is grounded in an approach where precision and rigour are essential to translating architectural intentions into built form.

Thibaut is also developing specialist expertise in drawing and architectural geometry. This allows him to explore forms, proportions and structures with precision, adding another dimension to the design process. He uses these tools to enrich the team’s creative approach and develop solutions that are both innovative and carefully integrated into their context.

Mélanie joined TITAN in summer 2025 to support the studio’s business development and outreach in France and, more broadly, across Europe.

She previously spent seven years contributing to the development of Ici-là Paysage, notably supporting the establishment and growth of its Nantes office. This experience enabled her to develop an approach attentive to territories, stakeholders and project dynamics.

At TITAN, she helps identify new areas of work, build partnerships and develop collaborations aligned with the studio’s approach. Her role supports TITAN’s ability to extend and share its expertise in transformation, heritage and existing resources.

Violaine joined TITAN in 2019, following significant experience on the Hôtel de la Monnaie construction site in Paris with Prost, an ambitious project at the intersection of heritage and culture. There, she developed solid expertise in the operational management of complex projects.

At TITAN, she structures the project process around construction and implementation, bringing a high level of technical rigour from the design stages through to completion. She led her first project with the delivery of the Nantes railway signal box in 2021 and has since contributed to projects across the studio.

Through her presence on site, she ensures that conceptual intentions are translated into tangible solutions. She cultivates an approach grounded in making, where materials, time and unforeseen events become opportunities for invention. The construction site thus becomes a living, everyday field of research at the heart of TITAN’s practice.

Mathilde worked for several years with Samuel Delmas, where she developed a rigorous approach to architectural projects at every stage of their development. She joined TITAN to support the design process, ensuring that initial intentions are carried through from the first sketches to the technical phases.

Her detailed understanding of architectural, regulatory and programmatic issues allows the initial concept to remain clear and consistent throughout the process. She notably led the development of the Belargus project, where her attention to detail and coherence helped produce an architecture that is both precise and closely connected to its territory.

She plays an essential role in maintaining project continuity, preserving its coherence as it responds to successive constraints and evolving expectations.

Simona is an architect who graduated from the Prague School of Architecture. Originally from Montenegro, she brings a distinctive perspective on Europe’s twentieth-century Brutalist heritage, which she explores through a sensitive and resolutely contemporary architectural approach.

Before joining TITAN in 2021, she worked with BLAM, contributing to projects at the intersection of art, design and public space. Drawing on this multidisciplinary experience, she now contributes to the development of competition projects through a fully collaborative process.

Simona draws on collective intelligence to develop precise, context-specific architectural responses, in close dialogue with the issues and ambitions expressed by clients.

Romain is an architect and co-founder of TITAN, and a graduate of the Nantes School of Architecture. He has developed an architectural approach centred on use, form, space and light, combining conceptual rigour with sensory experience.

This approach was notably expressed through Versus, an installation designed for Jean Blaise as part of Le Voyage à Nantes and presented on Place Graslin in 2021. He is now pursuing these ideas at a different scale through the Maison de la Culture in Bourges, a major project developed in the context of Bourges European Capital of Culture, currently scheduled for completion in 2027.

His work has received several distinctions, including the 2018 Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes, the 2021 Delarue Architecture Medal from the Académie d’Architecture, and recognition at the 2021 Équerre d’Argent awards for the Nantes railway signal box, praised for its constructional inventiveness and its relationship to land art.

Adélie joined TITAN to lead the development of a future national higher-education institution dedicated to training French oceanographers. Selected for this demanding project, she brings particular attention to the specific character of the territory and to the uses associated with scientific and marine research.

The project stands out for its innovative integration of marine waste reused as a construction resource, an environmentally responsible approach that reflects TITAN’s commitment to natural heritage and locally available materials.

Although TITAN develops its projects from Nantes, this does not limit the studio’s geographical reach. On the contrary, it demonstrates an ability to design and oversee projects in close connection with their context, through the establishment of local offices and dedicated site teams.

Adélie embodies this mobile and committed approach, combining a continuous presence on site, coordination between stakeholders and architectural rigour to deliver an architecture that is contextual, sensitive and dynamic.
